Celebrating St. Paddy’s Day in Milwaukee
Don’t worry about it if you missed last weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Milwaukee; there are still plenty of fun activities happening in and around Milwaukee this weekend in honor of what many Milwaukeeans claim to be “ the best day of year"!

Why is St. Patrick’s Day so popular in Milwaukee? Well, in 1850, just four years after Milwaukee became a city, the Irish comprised 25 percent of the city’s population second only to the Germans. Today, Milwaukee’s strong Irish heritage is still very present. Both the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center (which is located right across the street from our hotel) and Celtic MKE, which hosts Irish Fest each August, make it their mission to promote and celebrate all aspects of Irish, Irish American and Celtic Cultures, and to instill in current and future generations an appreciation of their heritage.
Here at the Ambassador we have a fantastic Reuben (or make it a Rachel!) made with in-house cured corned beef! It is available in the Fitz or Gin Rickey. Pair it with a Guinness on tap!
