Hamilton: An American Musical

Updated: Dec 9, 2019

Show season is officially upon us! Who doesn’t love dressing up & enjoying a fancy dinner before a show downtown!? Milwaukee is known for its incredible performing arts and we are very proud sponsors of the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and support all of Milwaukee’s amazing art talent!

In honor of the current musical, Hamilton; we’ve put together a perfect ‘Hamilton Night Out’ for you!

“Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.”

Visit us and try out our Alexander Hamilton Inspired drink specials available now through November 17th!

Join us before "Hamilton, an American Musical" for an Alexander Hamilton themed three-course prix fixe dinner! The menu is inspired by cuisine from Alexander Hamilton's life experiences, including his favorite dessert! Hamilton's mother opened a bodega on the island of St. Croix in 1765 where she sold items such as salted codfish, apples, butter and flour. The dinner's first course is "Whipped Salt Cod Croquettes", which is representative of the salted codfish that his mother sold. The main course is "Venison Osso Buco".Venison is a meat that was enjoyed in abundance during the American Revolution and throughout Hamilton's life in the U.S. Dessert is "Toffee Apple Cake" that is served with homemade vanilla ice cream. The apples and crust, made with flour and butter, are also representative of items his mother sold in the bodega. Additionally, ice cream is widely known to have been one of Alexander Hamilton's favorite treats. It is even known that Alexander and his wife, Eliza, introduced the dessert to George and Martha Washington!
